For Counsellors and Therapists: How LynnMatch Introductions Work

LynnMatch is designed to support independent counsellors and therapists by helping suitable clients request introductions more easily. LynnMatch does not replace professional judgement, the counselling relationship, or their control over fees, boundaries and availability.

What is LynnMatch for counsellors and therapists?

LynnMatch helps suitable clients find and request introductions to independent counsellors and therapists. It is designed to reduce overwhelm for clients and support counsellors and therapists with better-fit enquiries.

Is LynnMatch replacing counsellors or therapists?

No. LynnMatch does not replace counsellors or therapists. The counselling relationship, professional judgement, client care, fees, boundaries and availability remain directly with the counsellor or therapist. LynnMatch simply helps people find and request introductions more easily.

Is LynnMatch a therapy provider?

No. LynnMatch is not a therapy provider and does not provide counselling, therapy, diagnosis, medical advice, clinical judgement, emergency support or crisis care. Counselling remains provided directly by the independent counsellor or therapist.

Do counsellors or therapists pay to appear higher in results?

No. LynnMatch does not use paid ranking boosts. Counsellors and therapists are not pushed higher because they pay more.

How does the founding practitioner model work?

During the founding stage, selected counsellors and therapists are invited to join the LynnMatch network early and help shape how the service develops.

How much does LynnMatch cost counsellors and therapists?

LynnMatch charges a successful introduction fee when an introduction is accepted, rather than charging a monthly listing fee during the current launch model. The current fee is shown clearly on the pricing page and should be checked there for the latest details.

Do I have to accept every introduction?

No. Counsellors and therapists should only accept introductions they feel are appropriate, suitable, ethical and within their availability.

Who controls the counselling relationship?

The counsellor or therapist does. LynnMatch does not manage the counselling relationship, set session fees, control therapeutic approach, or make clinical decisions.

Does LynnMatch take payment from clients for counselling?

No. Counselling fees, payment terms, cancellations and session arrangements remain between the counsellor or therapist and the client.

Can I set my own fees and availability?

Yes. Independent counsellors and therapists remain in control of their own fees, availability, working style and professional boundaries.

What makes LynnMatch different from a directory?

A directory mainly lists counsellors and therapists. LynnMatch is designed to guide users through a calmer matching process and help them request introductions to counsellors and therapists who may be a better fit.

Can I join if I work online, in person, or both?

Yes, subject to profile approval and launch-area coverage. Counsellors and therapists should clearly state whether they offer online sessions, in-person sessions, or both.

What standards does LynnMatch expect from counsellors and therapists?

Counsellors and therapists should provide accurate information, stay within their professional scope, keep their availability updated, and follow their own professional, ethical and legal responsibilities.
